Claim Reporting Information

 

To Report a Claim to Safety Insurance:

To report a claim, call us at 508-867-7538 or contact Safety 24 hours a day at 800-951-2100.

You may also file your claim online using the Report a Claim feature under the My Account section or access Safety Mobile from your smartphone.

If you're in an auto accident, obtain the following information:

  • Date and time of the accident
  • Accident location (street names and landmarks)
  • Year, make, model, and plate number of the vehicle 
  • Driver's name, address, and telephone number of the other vehicle
  • Owner's name, address, and telephone number (if not the driver)
  • Name, address, and telephone number of other vehicle occupants
  • Name of the insurance carrier for the other vehicle
  • Policy number for the other vehicle, if available
  • Name and telephone number of witnesses
  • Name, address, and telephone numbers of anyone who may have been injured in any vehicle

You may also file your claim online using the Report a Claim feature under the My Account section or access Safety Mobile from your smartphone.

For Massachusetts policyholders, the law requires you to complete a Fire Report in person at the fire department in the locale where the fire occurred. This is mandatory for claims involving stolen motor vehicles recovered burnt. Submit a copy of this report to Safety.

Please include your claim number on all correspondence.

If your auto is damaged you may bring it to one of Safety's many drive-in inspection locations for an immediate appraisal of damages.

If your auto is un-drivable, an appraiser will contact you to schedule an appraisal of damages. If your auto is damaged due to flooding, Safety will arrange for pick-up of the vehicle.

Paying your claim

If your auto is scheduled for repairs Safety can also pay your claim directly to a repair facility.

To take some of the guesswork out of a tense situation, the NAIC has developed WreckCheck, a new, free mobile app for iPhone® and Android® smartphones.

If you suffer an emergency type of loss, such as a fire to your home which has left it unlivable, and it is after normal business hours, you may use Concord's 24 Hour Emergency Loss Reporting Service.  You can reach the service by calling 800-888-6050.  The phone system will prompt you to leave a message.  After you leave a message in the Emergency Message Box the "On Call" Adjuster is notified and will call you back.
